Most Americans don't do the pause thing too well. Culture is defined by motion and fast-forward is the default setting any more. We've learned the jargonn of chill and chive, and have made recreation the icon of pop with-it idealism. At the heart, though, only true slackers know how to un-plug and really enjoy rest, relaxation, and refreshment. Even recreation is manic pursuit anymore.
So, here os Pause 1. The first Saturday of 2014, and the way we'll spend every Saturday, in pause. Here's your assignment, should you choose to accept it. Watch a movie with your wife and children.
